Thommanon is a small temple but it is
the elegant building was constructed just a few years before the Angkor Wat
begun by the King Suryavarman II to dedicated to god Vishnu. This temple is
similar in plan, style and decoration to Chau Say Tevoda temple, the plan of
temple is rectangular with a single tower rise up 20m height which stood on a
low base 2.5m in height. This central tower has only one door opened to the
east the other 3 sides used as the false doors, the temple was surrounded by a
laterite wall 45m wide by 60m long which has only 2 entry gates (east &
West) that are in the shape of across but today is in poor conditioned state.
In the courtyard we can see a library which is opened to the west and next to
the wall there is a moat surrounded the entire complex but today it is tries
up.

On the central tower we can see the
beautiful female divinities still good intact.

The east lintel was depicted god Vishnu
was riding on the Garuda.

The pediment above the south door is in
poor condition, but it is recognizable, it was shows Ravana the demon king with
multiple arms and heads who try to shake the mountain Kailasa where Shiva
lives. Inside the central tower they found the
Linga with 0.95m in height, now there is nothing.
