The leper king’s terrace is the next name, the reason that
they called because of the statue that was found on the top of this terrace, it
refer to the statue was lost the fingers and toe so that’s why they called this
status as the statue of the king who got leprosy, and later they called this
terrace as the terrace of the leper king. But probably this terrace had been
used as the royal crematorium that was originally with the wooden building on
top of this terrace, so that the statue that we could see is the statue of YAMA
(the god of death or the god of the judgment), the original of this statue was
installed in Phnom Penh National Museum for safekeeping, this leper king’s
terrace was a remarkable wall that formerly had 7 rows of the
base-reliefs mainly showed the kings in the ceremonial by holding the sword in
their hands and surrounded by his courts and his concubines, and on the lower
part you could see the decorated with Naga and fishes and some kinds of the
animals that mostly we known as the mythical animals.
